Kelvin Scottish inherited many of Central's Mark 2 Nationals on its formation, and quickly set about acquiring more from the other SBG companies.
The EFE model has had it's front panel positioned further forward and a new windscreen from RTC models fitted. EFE used their Mark 1 National to represent a Mark 2 by simply fitting a new grille, which does not capture the bulbous
front end these buses had in order to accommodate the radiator. The model has further been enhanced by smoothing the joins around the front and rear panel and fitting BMAC rear light clusters, as fitted to many of these buses when their originals were damaged.
The DumbartonBUS branding was painted by hand using as a guide an outline decal which I printed.
Former Central National 2, SNS823W has apparently been saved for preservation, but has not yet emerged in Glasgow.
