Another ABC Ailsa, this time with the later style of front panel. Central operated two batches of Ailsas, this representing one from the first with the lower driving position. The model features most of the changes made to AV17 though not involving any major body surgery. One new detail applied to this bus is dirty wheels, created by washing the wheels with very thinned down black paint (really just dirty white spirit) and sort of wiping some of it off again. Central's fleet always had grubby wheels and the model looked too good with them as-new. Many of my older models are now receiving this feature.
