This Leopard required a bus grant type wide door to be fitted. The original door was
sliced in half with the centre pillar disgarded. A diagonal cut was made in the body from the bottom corner of the door to the first window
and the door pillar and step cut to release a section. The bus was filed to allow this section to be re-fitted further along. The centre part of the door was made
by modifying a white metal four leaf door so that I retained the EFE edges but replaced the three pillars. The glazing was amended to fit the new window aperture.
Various other detail changes were made including wheel nuts, front panel modifications and changes to the light clusters. Bits of moulding were also removed.
With the nearside row of seats now occupying less space, an alternative was sourced. I used the white metal Y-type bus seats which are commercially available. They required a good bit
of fiddling to get them to fit. They are far too wide, but at least they are suited to the new door arrangement though make the model very heavy.
