LA664 became Glasgow's oldest Atlantean outlasting later buses by many years. It went on to become the Centenary celebration bus in 1994 and was decorated in it's original Glasgow Corporation livery for the occasion. It carried this until it was unbelievably - and secretly - sent to an English scrapyard, even after a great deal of interest in its acquisition for preservation had been made.

The model is similar to LA614 but has been fitted with extra draft screens where the centre door would have been and has a driver's security screen. It is modelled as running in the early 90s.

Just one example of this batch of buses has survived into preservation - HGD 903L which is restored but awaiting GGPTE livery and is complete with 2 doors. Sadly similar LA688 was very recently sold to a scrap dealer as no buyer came forward to take the bus off it's preservationist owner's hands. The first from the batch, LA651 also existed as recently as April 2005 in England with the London Bus Export Company. although it has been converted internally. It was for sale.
