Like Central, Western operated two batches of Ailsas, this representing one of the last. Western specified their standard red tartan moquette interior for these buses giving them a smart appearance. Also, this batch never appeared to carry the familiar Ailsa badge on the grill.

This ABC Ailsa has been fitted with the later style of squared off BMAC lights all round and has the raised driving position, achieved by moving the windscreen aperture up on the body. A PAYE sign was added to the grill and the usual details were added elsewhere.
